Alvira’s Table is a Southern-inspired catering company rooted in family, storytelling, and the traditions of home cooking and hospitality. Inspired by my grandmother, Alvira—known to many as Vi—and my family’s roots in West Virginia, this brand was created to honor where we come from and the legacy carried through every meal.
Growing up, food was never just food—it was a connection. It was the way our family showed love, passed down traditions, and kept our culture alive. My grandmother’s kitchen was filled with recipes, stories, and a quiet pride in doing things the way they had always been done. Those moments shaped not only how I cook, but why I cook.
Alvira’s Table is deeply inspired by Appalachian and Southern traditions that are often overlooked or underrepresented in today’s food spaces. Our mission is to preserve and celebrate those traditions—bringing visibility to the people, flavors, and stories that don’t always get the recognition they deserve. We believe there is beauty and history in these dishes, and it’s important that they continue to be shared, honored, and remembered.
